1. What types of roles do you offer?
We place candidates in permanent, temporary, full-time, and part-time roles. These include live-in, live-out, daily, and night nanny positions, as well as maternity nurse roles.
2. Do I need formal qualifications to register?
Formal qualifications are not required, but you must have at least two years of paid childcare experience. We welcome candidates from diverse childcare backgrounds including teaching, nursery work, and childminding.
3. Do I need to be registered with Ofsted?
Ofsted registration is not mandatory for all roles, but it is a plus and sometimes preferred by families. We’re happy to advise you on how to register if needed.
4. What documents do I need to provide?
You will need:
- Proof of your right to work in the UK.
- Two forms of ID
- An Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the Update Service).
- A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate.
- Written references from at least two previous childcare employers
5. Can you help me get a DBS or First Aid certificate?
Yes, we can guide you through the process and refer you to trusted providers if you need to obtain or renew either of these.
6. Will I be employed by the agency or the family?
You will be employed directly by the family. We act as your agent to introduce you to suitable employers and support you throughout the process.
7. Is there a fee to join the agency?
No. There is no charge for candidates to register or be placed through ITAV Nannies.
8. Will I receive support after I’m placed with a family?
Absolutely. We offer continued support during your placement and are here to help with any concerns, advice, or guidance you may need.
9. How long does it take to get placed?
Placement timelines vary based on your availability, preferences, and the specific needs of families. Some placements happen quickly, while others may take a bit longer—we always aim for the best match, not just the fastest.
10. Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes. Once registered, you are welcome to express interest in any suitable roles we have available.
